Pelvic floor

What is it?

The pelvic floor is a set of muscles, ligaments, and tissues found in the lower part of the pelvis.

At the ELOE Physiotherapy Center we treat, relax and re-educate all the muscles of the lower abdomen and, depending on the dysfunction we have, we can suffer from urine loss, fecal dysfunction or vaginal pain.

We have extensive experience in the field and the most advanced technology to propose effective and fast solutions.

How do we work?

Some of the more common pelvic floor treatments include:

  • Biofeedback: Through sensors in the perineum area, this treatment aims to strengthen the pelvic floor muscles and improve their functions.
  • Manual therapy: Manual therapy consists of the application of manual techniques by a physical therapist to help release tension and improve pelvic floor function.
  • Electrical stimulation: This technique can be helpful for people who have difficulty contracting their pelvic floor muscles on their own.
